A Profile Photo

‘Disco L in Profile’

We hear ‘profile photo’ and think:

Ok, I need a clear, preferably flattering, picture of myself to share.

I M A G E S - of oneself and others - bring us closer in the online world and a ton more able to relate to eachother than digital entries/ posts sans pics.

Earlier this year I learned about Lisa Haukom of The Goldenbrand. Lisa is a pioneer in self portraiture and teaches branding and photography. Despite already having put a lot on my plate these days I joined in her Goldenbrand photo club challenge.

So far I’ve noticed that making space for seeing and accepting myself feeds my sense of self worth and confidence. I haven’t kept up with all of the assignments but even for the few that I have completed I feel growth.

If you haven’t heard Lisa Haukom’s podcast The Golden Brand Pod yet, it’s really good! She is also @thegoldenbrandco on Instagram. Let me know if her work resonates with you too.
