3 Places to Hang Your Favorite Travel Photo

While there are many places where you might choose to hang a particular piece of art, I love the idea of waking up to a serene image that sets the stage for a peaceful day.  I managed to capture Aegean Dream in early morning light on the Greek island of Santorini.  Very rarely do I get up and out the door in time to catch soft, morning sunshine, but when I do I’m reminded why photographers talk about it so much. The light that June morning was positively pink, and a soft pastel hue was scattered absolutely everywhere I looked.

Another spot that works really well for Aegean Dream is in the kitchen.  If you’re a cook or like to bake, then featuring a windmill used for generations upon generations to mill wheat is a fun theme to tie into your kitchen or dining area décor, as shown below:

Finally, with the Mediterranean Sea on the horizon, I love the idea of displaying art with a water element above a bathtub ~ or somewhere in the bathroom in general ~ for the travel bugs among us to ponder while bathing. The window of time spent bathing is a great time for contemplation, after all. Since the Coronavirus lockdown set in, I’ve personally set up a soaking ritual about once a week with bath salts, intention candles, something to read and either a tea, coffee or a flute of champagne at hand…doing so never disappoints.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have fun contemplating just the spot for your favorite travel print, or any piece of artwork for that matter.

Bon voyage in spirit,
