Hoooray! I’m so excited to be published in the current issue of In Her Studio magazine! In Her Studio, Winter 2021, shines a light on 20 artists and our respective creative spaces. If you haven’t heard of In Her Studio, it’s a somewhat niche, quarterly periodical that highlights women artists and their workspaces. Ok, well, I suppose the title is self-explanatory.

Published by Stampington & Company in Laguna Hills, California, here’s a blurb from their website,

“In Her Studio takes readers on a tour through the creative spaces and lives of female artists, designers, and makers. These women share the places where they create and tell the stories behind developing their spaces, from the traditional to the unusual, the intimate to the extraordinary. “

With an emphasis on quality production, photography, and design, Stampington & Company has won several American Inhouse Design and Gold Ink Awards and maintains multiple top-selling positions on newsstands, in upscale grocery stores, and more.

It’s totally up my alley. The first time I saw the magazine, I bought it without hesitation…. it seemed tailored to me ;). I loved sitting down with coffee, drooling over the photos and being inspired by behind-the-scenes glimpses at creative zones.

Some of you know that I spent several weeks this summer improving my photo studio. The biggest upgrade was putting in a new wood floor.  Talk about a transformation! I’m glad to no longer be working on bare concrete, the maple wood flooring has really brought in a good bit of warmth.  You can see some before and after pics in this earlier blog post here.
